about sonia

Sonia Duggan CPCC PCC CPQC is a mental and emotional fitness coach, offering individual coaching, workshops and courses.

Sonia Duggan created Inspiration! to combine coaching with the things most close to her heart: creativity and parenting. Sonia offers one-to-one coaching either over the phone or Walking the Talk in local countryside. She also coaches internationally and has clients ranging from her home town in Surrey, to Australia.

Sonia Duggan trained as a parenting group facilitator with the Parent Network in 1997, and she started to deliver the 12-week Parentlink courses in which she worked with groups of parents to develop their parenting skills. The courses help parents to increase their children’s self-esteem and improve communication and relationships within the family.

This work led Sonia to a deep interest in, and commitment to, personal development. She trained as a co-active coach with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), one of the leading coach training organisations in the world and is certified (CPCC) by them. She is also credentialled as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coach Federation (ICF) and adheres to the ICF Code of Ethics. To deepen her skills on coaching writers, in 2011 Sonia trained on the Coaching for Writers course run by Relational Dynamics 1st, which was sponsored by NAWE (National Association of Writers in Education) and Arvon, and accredited by Performance Coach Training. She is one of the first coaches to have been certified (CPQC) as a mental fitness coach by Positive Intelligence.

Sonia Duggan is a writer of fiction and non-fiction, poetry and prose, for children and adults. For Sonia, Inspiration comes in many shapes and forms and they all have their place in her life. She loves to help writers who are just starting out and lack confidence as well as successful authors who need to boost their creativity or overcome writer’s block. Sonia has delivered workshops for writers for a number of organisations including the Romantic Novelists’ Association, Lapidus, the Elmbridge Literature Festival and Kingston Connections. She has designed and delivered workshops for writers incuding ‘Feel the Fear … and Write it Anyway‘ and ‘And They Wrote Happily Ever After‘, and also offers ‘Getting To Where You Want To Be‘, a professional development workshop for writers, developed by NAWE.

Once upon a time, Sonia qualified as a maths teacher and taught in a local secondary school as well as working in infant and junior schools as a supply teacher. Then she worked in marketing for over 11 years, copy writing, designing and organising promotional material and events.

Her own Happily Ever After started when she trained as a professional coach in 2008. She knew immediately that she had found her true love. She nurtures that relationship with ongoing professional development and has taken advanced courses in Neuroscience, Consciousness and Transformational coaching with BEabove Leadership and ShookSvensen and relationship coaching with CRR Global.
